Catholic East School

Catholic East Elementary is a richly diverse Catholic Community that pursues academic excellence, nurtures strong moral developments and fosters lifelong learning through living out the Gospel values.

The blended learning environment cultivates a lifelong love of learning that appropriately challenges each student. The core curriculum focuses on reading, writing, mathematics, science, social studies and religion. It’s based on standards established by the Archdiocese of Milwaukee including the Common Core State Standards.

Religion is taught daily with each day beginning and ending in prayer as well as noontime Examination of Conscience to celebrate the morning and reset the afternoon. Every Thursday, an all school Mass is held in beautiful neighborhood churches.

This K3-8 school has successfully created a blended learning environment that taps into students full potential academically, spiritually, morally, socially and physically.

Catholic East is a truly diverse school community founded on strong Catholic identity and rigorous instruction. As one teacher and parent put it, “Catholic East is what heaven will look like – no more human division, just holy unity!”

Catholic East gives endless possibilities for students to grow and learn. The curriculum, based on standards established by the Archdiocese of Milwaukee including the Common Core State Standards, focus on reading, writing, mathematics, science, social studies and religion. Catholic East scholars in all grades also study art, music, technology and physical education.

Staff and teachers are committed to student success and to personalizing student growth.

In addition to every school day beginning and ending with prayer, students also actively experience their Catholic faith in most school experiences and in classes. Students in grades 2-8 attend Mass weekly. Once a month, second-graders through eighth-graders walk to the Holy Rosary campus to attend an all-school Mass with their lower school buddies.

Students get involved with service projects to grow and develop skills. Some of the service projects include the Alzheimer’s Association, Riverwest Food Pantry, Ryan’s Well and more. There are new projects every year to raise funds and awareness!

At Catholic East Elementary, all staff and teachers strive to provide a safe and positive learning environment for all. The safety and security of their students is the utmost importance to the school community.

Catholic East invests in creating the safest environment with having the best staff and leaders for the students to strive to their potential.

To ensure students safety and support, Catholic East offers extended day learning support, summer school and there is always a school counselor on staff.

To enhance students’ social development and apply what they learned in the classroom, Catholic East offers students a wide variety of extracurricular activities. All students have an opportunity to enjoy forensics, game club, student council, battle of the books and more to develop more skills outside the classroom.
