Seton students, teachers and parents gathered to celebrate the visual and performing arts at the Second Annual Art and Music Festival hosted at St. Thomas More High School. The celebration brought together the creative talents of students from all 12 schools within the Seton Family of Catholic Schools.
The works spanned a wide range of media and styles, showcasing the creativity and skill of students from kindergarten through 8th grade. Paintings, drawings, and mixed media pieces were on display, each telling a unique story and reflecting the dedication and passion of both the students and their art teachers.
The festival also featured a series of solo performances that highlighted individual talents –each act received warm applause and words of encouragement from the audience. After the solo performances came the main act: the group performances. These acts showcased the collaborative spirit and musical diversity of the Seton schools.
An energetic display of African drumming and dancing from St. Margert Mary and St. Catherine students kicked off the group performances. Then, Northwest Catholic students took the stage dancing to praise and worship songs. Prince of Peace students in full costume, performed some of their native Latin dances. Next came a series of musical numbers including choirs who came together to perform a variety of songs. Each performance was a testament to the hard work and dedication of the students and their teachers, who had spent countless hours perfecting their pieces.
As the evening drew to a close, students and teachers felt a sense of accomplishment and joy. The Second Annual Art and Music Festival had not only showcased the incredible talents of the students but also underscored the importance of arts education in fostering creativity, confidence, and collaboration. It was a night to remember, a celebration of the arts in its many forms, and a testament to the hard work and dedication of the entire Seton Catholic Schools community.
