Technology Appeal

$850,000 Raised

Every family in need has received internet access

We Reached Our Goal!

Fighting COVID-19 with technology: ensuring equity of access to laptops and internet for students

Seton Catholic Schools serve some of the most economically-disadvantaged neighborhoods in the city of Milwaukee, where underprivileged families face a digital divide that is a significant barrier to education. Each Seton Student needs and deserves a computer and internet access to succeed whether they are learning at home through digital instruction or in-person in the classroom.

We committed to providing every Seton student with a Chromebook laptop and access to home internet for the 2020-21 school year since so many families were unable to afford the expense. Providing access to this technology is critically important for Seton students to flourish when combined with the best-in-class teaching and curriculum the Seton Team is delivering in our schools during the COVID pandemic.

In two months, individual donors, foundations, and corporations – including a generous challenge match from the Yabuki Family Foundation that put us over our goal – demonstrated their incredible commitment to meeting the technology needs of Seton students. We could not be more grateful for the generosity of the Seton Family!

Thank you!!!

Additional gifts can still make an incredible difference for our students, teachers and communities. We are still accepting gifts for the Seton Technology appeal. If you have questions about other opportunities for giving, please contact Maria Azarian by email at mazarian@setoncatholicschools.org or by phone at 414.831.8400.
