The Goal of OLQP is to help each child reach his or her potential in all areas of development.
With a strong Catholic identity and welcoming atmosphere, Our Lady Queen of Peace strives to make sure every student in grade 4K-8 feel safe, involved and celebrated. Members of the administration, faculty and staff share in the responsibility of creating an environment conducive to learning.
Personal concerns and local issues are always addressed from a Christian perspective. Students receive opportunities to respond to the needs of others by worshiping together and working together on numerous service projects. Their academic success and personal growth helps them develop a positive self-image, self-discipline and a Catholic identity that teaches them to respond to one another with love and a sense of justice.
Our Lady Queen of Peace has a mostly Hispanic student body with a Spanish teacher always on hand to act as an interpreter for parents and guardians. Free breakfast is offered to all students.
We are proud to be a 4-star school! Please see…

Our Lady Queen of Peace School’s purpose is to provide a quality Catholic education in an atmosphere where each person is important. Learning is specifically geared to the needs of the student as an individual and as a member of the school community. The curriculum of Our Lady Queen of Peace School follows the recommended requirements set by the Milwaukee Archdiocese Office of Schools and the standards of the Wisconsin Catholic Schools Accreditation (WCSA). An ongoing School Improvement Plan ensures that the evolving needs of the students are met through periodic reviews with MAP testing, Fountas & Pinnell and the Wisconsin Forward Exam. The School Improvement Plan updates support materials, including: textbooks, resources and software.
Religious education at Our Lady Queen of Peace School is directed toward enabling the student’s faith to “become living, conscious, and active through the light of instruction”. The students are taught Catholic doctrine which reflects teachings of official Church documents. This program seeks to teach God’s word in an atmosphere that promotes the faithful acceptance and responsibilities of it.
Students engage in daily prayer and participate in weekly liturgy as lectors, cantors, and altar servers. The students examine attitudes and values in order to develop behavior consistent with the faith they profess.
Students practice service by working with local businesses to help those in need. These programs include:
- The Hunger Task Force food drive
- Ben’s hygiene drive
- Honor Flight
- Fisher House
- Rice Bowl
- Water balloon toss to raise money for Children’s Hospital
Partnership with the Terrace Nursing Home – classes visit and interact with the residents.
Athletics and extracurricular activities allow students to expand classroom learnings, build interests and work together. Our Lady Queen of Peace offers an activity for just about every student. Students have the opportunity to participate in chess club, student council, altar service, choir and Aztec dance. Our organized sports include: soccer, football, volleyball and basketball.
Fun traditions such as the Our Lady of Guadalupe celebration and dinner held in December each year, and a large community building Mexican celebration – Día del Niño– held every spring, bring the school families together for festive activities and a cookout.
