Clubs and Activities

By participating in after-school activities, Prince of Peace students learn to manage their time and prioritize various tasks and commitments while building their self-esteem. After-school activities at Prince of Peace School are designed to develop a student’s goal-setting skills and for reaching or achieving a goal. Finally, extracurricular activities allow our students to make a contribution to their school or community, which is an important step in preparing them for life outside of academics.

Partnerships

Boys & Girls Club of Greater Milwaukee

Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee provides young people with programs and resources that help them achieve academic success, make healthy life choices, and foster the skills they need to reach their full potential. We know that relationships are the foundation for our members’ success and so BGC staff work to connect with every student as an individual. Working with the school and other community partners, we can introduce students to a wide range of experiences and resources to encourage them to be the best they can be. BGC knows each child is capable of great things and so we hope to inspire each student to learn and grow.

What does all of this mean for our day-to-day? Students receive support with their homework, access additional math and reading help, a healthy meal, physical activity, and time to make art, do science projects, and socialize every day! BGC also invites community partners to provide additional programming. This includes soccer camps, Girl Scouts, constructing canoes, music lessons, art clubs, and Lego Robotics. We also take field trips to places like the Zoo, Urban Ecology Center, the movies, and more! Our goal is to have something for everyone.
