This fall, Prince of Peace expanded the partnership with PEAK. In years past, PEAK offered a summer leadership program for middle school students. This year however, we introduced an afterschool club the meets twice a week. Students in grades 6th – 8th engage with club leaders to develop skills while also improving school community. “2021 Launch: Culture Keepers are working on ways to improve the school experience for their peers. They’re currently focusing on advocating for ‘no uniforms’ twice a month, playing music by influential artists during lunch, more after school clubs and much more. While they’ve been working hard, they’ve also been exploring the power of mindfulness through mindfulness activities because as a leader it’s important to stop and take care of your mind and body.”
