St. Catherine School is driven to provide all students in pre-kindergarten through 8th grade with a quality Catholic education in the urban setting of the Sherman Park neighborhood.
St. Catherine boasts a welcoming, respectful learning environment. While a Catholic school in tradition and teaching, we welcome families and students of all faiths. We believe that a diverse school prepares our students for their futures and a foundation in faith gives them the ability to share in the joys and challenges they will face.
To meet the needs of all our students, we center our academics around a multiage classroom and personalized learning philosophy. We don’t believe in one size fits all academics at St Catherine School. Instead, we feel it’s important to meet each student on his or her own level; together, teachers work with them to prepare and guide them on a path tailored to their individual goals for growth and learning.
In order to help each student achieve and excel in the classroom, we offer specialty programs that provide one-on-one instruction beyond the classroom to nurture students in the areas of reading and math on either end of the learning spectrum.
Our focus at St. Catherine School is to educate the whole student – mind, body, and spirit. Upon graduation from St. Catherine, our hope is that we’ve prepared our students for the academic and life challenges ahead.
