A loving home is a child’s foundation

… and parents are the first teachers. Our school builds upon this foundation. St. Catherine provides a safe environment where families of all faiths are welcomed and encouraged. We provide students a well-rounded, excellent personalized education. We prepare our students for bright futures through a multiage classroom and personalized learning approach.

St. Catherine’s is a K-8 Catholic school that focuses on developing students’ character and moral values, teaching virtues such as kindness, compassion, and respect for others. We aim to create a safe and supportive environment where students feel valued and respected.

Support Programs

Ignatian Volunteer Corps (IVC)

St. Catherine is thrilled to partner with the Ignatian Volunteer Corps and bring 1:1 reading support to scholars in grades 1-5. The 1:1 reading program is a weekly support in which students work on building their reading comprehension skills along with connecting with a member of community.

Catapult Learning

St. Catherine collaborates with Catapult Learning, a program designed to inspire and encourage academic achievement for students. Our Catapult teacher works with small groups of students to provide additional instruction in reading and math. Groups of students in 5K through 8th grade meet for 120 minutes a week to supplement what they’re learning from their teachers. Our partnership with Catapult Learning strengthens our ability to provide strong academics and to prepare students for future success.

Response to Intervention (RTI)

Response to Intervention (RtI) is a multi-tiered approach designed to help all students succeed in school.  The RtI teacher works with small groups of students in Kindergarten through third grade.  RtI provides personalized instruction tailored to the specific needs of each student, helping them learn at their own pace and in ways that work best for them. RtI encourages collaboration among parents, teachers, and specialists to support student learning, ensuring that everyone is working together to help the student succeed.

Students in third through eight grade receive additional support through Corrective Reading. Corrective Reading is an intervention program that focuses on building foundational reading skills in students who are experiencing difficulties with reading fluency, comprehension, and vocabulary. Corrective Reading is implemented in a small-group setting, allowing for more targeted instruction and individualized support. The program emphasizes phonics, word analysis, fluency, vocabulary development, and comprehension strategies. By targeting these specific areas, Corrective Reading aims to help students improve their overall reading abilities and become more proficient readers.
