Catholic Identity

Jesus is the center of the St. Catherine community

it is Christ who inspires and guides our mission of providing a quality Catholic education to our students. Our school is supported by Saint Catherine Parish, an active community driven to serve our neighborhood of Sherman Park and beyond.

As a school, we exist to complement and extend the spiritual development of our students that begins in the home and parish. The school community, centered on Jesus, delivers a holistic education rooted in faith. We believe that all people are created in the image of God and deserve respect as individuals. Following this belief, we educate the complete child by providing academic, spiritual, physical, emotional, and cultural learning opportunities and development.

St. Catherine Parish is blessed with an active community focused on serving the people of Sherman Park and beyond. As part of our Catholic understanding of stewardship, we are called by Jesus Christ to share in the work of the Kingdom.

In sharing our time, talent, and treasure, we strengthen our own faith and invite others into a closer relationship with our God.

Whether we can give one hour or many in ministry, whether we see our gifts as large or small, we are invited by our Lord to enter into service with the divine blessing of the Trinity. We hope that through prayer and discernment you will discover your gifts and join with your fellow parishioners at St. Catherine in building the Kingdom of God. We’re “Here to Stay, Here to Serve.”

As always, we extend an invitation to you: please join us for our regular Eucharistic celebrations. We celebrate Mass at 9 a.m. on Sunday, as well as 8:30 a.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays. To see how we share our faith with our parish school, share in our weekly prayer service at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday mornings.
